Battery Adaptors to switch adapt a toy

Battery Adaptors are used to make battery operated toys switchable using a switch fitted with a 1/4" or 6.3 mm large jack plug,

Battery Adaptors come in a number of different forms to suit the type of batteries used in the toy or item being controlled. The disc or press stud (depending on the type of battery) fits between the battery and the toy contact in the battery compartment making a break in the continuity of the circuit.

By plugging a switch into the jack socket, the toy or item can be switched on in a momentary mode. It may not be perfect with all toys because of the operation of the internal  electronics.

Please note that the toy or item’s own on/off switch must be on when the adaptor is used.

For switches fitted with 1/4” ( 6.3 mm ) Large jack plug.

If the toy is fitted with the wrong size jack socket you will need a switch adapter. Part 80221 or 80222
